what is Stephen Ministry?

Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.(Galatians 6:2)

Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one caring ministry. Stephen Ministry equips and empowers caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

A Stephen Minister usually provides care to one person at a time. The confidential care-giver and care-receiver relationship are usually conducted by weekly visits, but may continue for months or even years.

If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, experiencing a major illness, going through a divorce, job loss, or other life difficulties, please do not hesitate to get connected with a Stephen Minister today.

HOW TO BECOME A STEPHEN MINISTER

Stephen Minister training takes place once a year. We typically meet once a week for about 20-weeks. Our training is led by one of our current Stephen Leaders. Expectations include pre-class reading, devotions, lectures, video presentations, discussions and skills practice.

If you are interested in learning how to become a Stephen Minister please feel free to contact us for more information about our next session.
