Elizabeth English has served with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship since 1999. For several years she served as the team leader for InterVarsity's ministries at Occidental College (Los Angeles, CA) and the University of Redlands (Redlands,CA). In the summer of 2009 she moved to St. Louis to serve as Missouri Area Director for InterVarsity. Elizabeth began attending Grace while a student at nearby Claremont McKenna College. After graduation, she taught high school English and Spanish for several years before joining InterVarsity's staff. Grace Church has been a partner in ministry with her from the beginning. She has enjoyed watching God at work in students' lives. "I love watching Jesus reveal himself to people who did not expect Him to be so good!" she says. "And I love watching God transform, heal, and grow people in community and in ministry, and send people into the church, the workforce, and the world to live out the Gospel and advance the kingdom of God." In her down time, Elizabeth enjoys being around nature, whether it's camping, hiking, or just being near mountains, parks, or the ocean. To unwind, she also enjoys photography, drawing, writing, reading, and good movies. Missouri Area Director InterVarsity Christian Fellowship

After taking a "vision trip" to France in 1979, Dave and Susie Hobert felt called to serve there as missionaries with Grace Brethren International Missions. They left for language school in 1980 and have been serving in France ever since. They have been partners with Grace since 1988. Dave and Susie are presently involved in church-planting in the city of Montceau-les-Mines and in the development of a regional "point of light" in Paray-le Monial. They are also involved in youth ministries, leadership training, and oversight of the Chateau of Saint Albain (a retreat center used by evangelical churches and individuals from France as well as other European countries). When asked what they enjoy most about France, Dave shares, "I love to discuss just about anything with the French people.they're very interesting. We appreciate the deep friendships we have made. French cuisine is also wonderful, as well as the countryside of Burgundy. We also love back-packing in the Alps and the variety of landscapes in France." Dave and Susie met at Grace College in Indiana and were married in 1974. They have three grown children living in the States: Ryan, married to Carrie (Dorean); Julie; and Emilie, married to Dave (Schwan). In their free time, Dave and Susie enjoy reading, walking, swimming, and biking. Susie also enjoys playing the piano and Dave likes sports.especially basketball. In fact, Dave says what he misses most about life in the States is the college football and basketball. France Grace Brethren International Missions

Terry and Margie Jones originally settled in nearby Glendora to raise their two children, Franci and Isaac, and to run their own businesses. Their desire to serve as missionaries overseas evolved slowly over many years. They began attending Grace, and in 1994 the church commissioned them for service in Africa with African Inland Mission. Initially Terry served as a pilot and mechanical engineer, then from 1997 to 2005 he accepted the responsibility of overseeing Evangelism Explosion International's work in East Africa. Margie focused on research and writing for unreached people groups in Africa. In time, she began developing Africanized teaching materials and training programs. In 2005, Terry accepted the international directorship of Sequoia Ministries International, overseeing the SMI Africa Field Office and Africa Program from Nairobi, Kenya. Margie currently is involved in developing materials, overseeing translation teams, new training ministries, children and youth ministries, and special interest ministries. "We love to help people be set free and watch their lives be transformed by the power of God," shares Margie. "It's been our privilege to be involved in God's work in East Africa and to help so many needy people in both temporal and eternal ways." What do they miss most about life in the States? "We miss our family (our kids especially!), our friends, and our church. We also miss Mexican food!" East Africa Sequoia Ministries International

Dr. Peter and Janet Payne attended Grace for 9 years while Dr. Payne earned his Ph.D. at Claremont Graduate School. His dissertation was titled "Design in the Universe: The Design Argument from the Perspective of Natural Law." With the completion of Dr. Payne's doctoral degree, he and Janet served with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship for 16 years, based out of Michigan. A brother with special needs necessitated them leaving Intervarsity and moving back to California in the fall of 2007. They currently are based in Mt. Hermon near family and are involved in ministry to graduate students and faculty at nearby University of California Santa Cruz. Peter and Janet now work primarily with the Institute for Credible Christianity. The Institute seeks to promote reasoned reflection on the gospel of Christ and on the reliability of the Bible, to strengthen Christians in their faith, and to encourage others to become followers of Jesus. Their work involves modeling, mentoring, and training in apologetics and evangelism with students and churches in the U.S. and Europe. Through the Institute, Peter and Janet also continue to serve InterVarsity student groups and the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students. California Institute for Credible Christianity

Ted and Vivian Ruiz began serving as international staff with Grace in 1985. Ted formerly served on local staff at Grace as Outreach Director from 1978-1985. He and Viv met prior to that while they were both serving with Campus Crusade for Christ. They were married in 1979. They have been ministering in the Philippines with Grace Brethren International Missions since 1985. They are involved in evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, and church planting. Their current focus is on training leaders and establishing congregations as there are many ministries hoping to become organized churches. The Filipinos are very people-oriented, which has made them an enjoyable group to work with. Ted and Viv currently have three adult children living in the States, David, Beka, and Sara. In his "spare" time Ted enjoys hiking, backpacking, and reading about history, and Viv enjoys scrap-booking. Philippines Grace Brethren International Missions

Ken departs in Fall 2011 for an extended trip to Central Asia.
Ken's first connection with Grace Church was in 1989, when he got involved with Grace's student ministry. It was at one of Grace's high school winter camps that he made the decision to follow Christ.
Following subsequent mission experiences in inner-city Philadelphia and the Middle East, Ken felt God's call to ministry. After graduating from college, he laid aside his plan to attend law school and in 1996 began serving full-time in ministry with Campus Crusade. His last assignment with Campus Crusade was to lead a student team in the Middle East for the 08-09 school year.
