Our History

Grace traces its roots back to a Bible study group that formed a church in 1901. The church eventually became known as Grace Brethren Church of La Verne. In 1997, ties with the Brethren denomination were dropped and the church became simply Grace Church of La Verne. When the church outgrew its home at the corner of Sixth and White Streets, it began meeting in the gym of Faith Lutheran High School, where it continues to meet today.

Although no longer associated with the Brethren Church, Grace remains faithful to many of its early values, including an unswerving commitment to the Word of God, a radical commitment to "walking the walk, not just talking the talk," and a determination to experience God and not just be educated about Him.
